A short trench built on the classic shape, cut to sit at the hip rather than the knee. The double-breasted front and defined lapels keep the traditional tailoring, while the shorter length makes it easier to wear with everything from jeans to a midi skirt.

It works as a transitional layer — light enough for a mild autumn day, structured enough to look considered over a jumper. The shape holds itself, so it looks the same at six in the evening as it did at nine in the morning.

Available in Coffee and Khaki, in sizes XS to L.

If a coat isn't right, you have 30 days from delivery to send it back — on top of your statutory 14-day right to cancel. Items need to be unworn, with tags attached and in their original packaging.

If it arrives faulty, damaged or simply isn't what you ordered, we cover the return postage too.

Orders are processed within 1–2 business days and delivery takes a further 4–9, so 5–11 business days in total. Orders placed after 18:00 GMT, at weekends or on bank holidays are processed the next business day.

You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your parcel is dispatched. Tracking can take up to 48 hours to start updating.

Measurements for this piece are listed on this page. Check the shoulder seam first — it's the one thing that can't be adjusted, and it decides whether a coat looks right more than any other measurement.

Our outerwear is cut true to size with room for a jumper underneath. For trenches and blazers you generally don't need to size up. For a fitted teddy or a shorter jacket, one size up gives you room for a chunky knit.
